EJU

Trotzdem: https://judoinside.com/news/3370/Judo_a ... dary_final
Judo ambassador and top football player Lothar Matthäus was the star of the 1990 World Championships in Italy where Germany captured the FIFA World Cup. Matthäus is a close friend of IJF President Marius Vizer. Twenty years ago Matthäus lost a legendary Champions League final against Manchester United.

Matthäus will soon again be lined up alongside Stefan Effenberg, Mario Basler and Sammy Kuffour against a Manchester United team containing Beckham, Ole Gunnar Solskjær and co in a charity match at Old Trafford on Sunday, to mark the 20th anniversary of that famous final.

Log on to Matthäus’s website, and the first words that greet you are “Persistence, perfection”, with the tagline “for success, there are no compromises”. It encapsulates Matthäus. What is more, unlike a tired motivational slogan painted across the wall of a dressing room, reading his words you believe them and his pursuit of something greater.

As a judo ambassador, Lothar Matthäus is invited at the major Judo events in the world, but also at the football events as an ambassador of Bayern Munich where he spoke to another judo passionate, Vladimir Putin. “I know Vladimir Putin from London 2012,” he says. “Putin speaks very good German and we talked about football and judo, the best restaurants and the Brexit, American politics and Russian politics. My wife is from Russia. I like the country, the mentality of the people.”

Austria will propose to give back the World Championships organization in 2021 to the IJF. The Austrian Judo Federation successfully won the bid for the World Championships, but with all the help of Austrian Sports Minister Heinz-Christian Strache, who resigned from his position this week after a corruption scandal in Austria which brought the government down.

Austrian Judo Federation (OEJV) President Hans-Paul Kutschera proposed immediately to the board of the OEJV to give back the organisation of the worlds in 2021. The costs of the organisation is 12 million euro for which 6 million for the IJF. However without the guaranteed support of the government it will turn into a dramatic situation for Austrian judo instead of a highlight.

The problem though for the Austrian Federation is the two of the six million ‘public money’ already given out to the IJF as event fee. Giving back is both a moral problem for the IJF to either give back, or keep the money. For the Austrian Federation a problem as the pressure will be high to get back the fee from the IJF as Austria lost its faith in reputation of the government.

Heinz-Christian Strache confirmed in Baku

In his role as Minister of Sport, Strache traveled to the worlds in Baku last September to bring the 2021 tournament to Austria. It was essential sign for the IJF that the government stood behind the bid.

It was agreed that three more millions should come from the sports ministry says Kutschera, but this second contract was not yet signed. On Wednesday Juliane Bogner-Strauß took over the political sports agenda.

For the first time since 1984 the Austrian were able to organise the World Championships. Austria was a huge judo nation in the mid-eighties with Olympic Champion Peter Seisenbacher as its frontrunner, but also with strong women and in 1984 the women’s worlds were held in Vienna.

The Strache exit is not the only financial risk for the organizers. Previously, the city of Vienna was involved in its participation - around two million euros - across. "They totally blocked," says Kutschera who is also Vice President of the European Judo Union.

Dramatic development

The association wanted to fill this gap with additional sponsors. Whether the World Championships can be returned at all in the hands of the IJF. "I will explore that," promised Kutschera, who is therefore looking for talks with IJF President Marius Vizer. If the IJF will keep the agreed two Million entry fee or a part of it, the dramatic development is even worse for the Austrian Judo Federation. Last year the Federation celebrated its 70th anniversary with a gala in Vienna where IJF President was among the main guests.

Heimat Ungarn. Was wissen wir schon?

I founded a new system for physical culture and mental training as well as for winning contests. I called this "Kodokan Judo",(J. Kano 1898)
Techniques are only the words of the language judo (Cichorei Kano, 24.12.2008)

https://www.judobund.de/aktuelles/detai ... berg-3566/
Demnach in diesem Sinne:

https://www.judoinside.com/news/3386/Wh ... _to_Bet_On
Online sports betting is fast becoming a favourite past time for sports fans. Here is where fans can watch their favourite sports and make some real money while doing so simultaneously. The better informed the sports bettor, the better the odds of winning. As online casino gaming is gradually being accepted into modern society through new laws, we notice a trend of online sportsbooks appearing on notorious sites.

Keeping this in mind, bettors may want to consider which sports to bet on and the wisest choice would to bet on the sport you know the most about. However, if you are looking for a little side action and fun, you would want to choose a strategized body contact sport and it just so happens that Judo fits the bill perfectly. So what makes Judo one of the best sports to bet on? Check out 5 reasons why we approve of sports betting on the full body contact sport.

It’s a World Wide Sport

Judo is one of the most popular body contact sport right alongside jujitsu. The sport is about defence more than striking but the techniques used are so beautifully executed and easy to notice. Each move can be easily witnessed by spectators making it an ideal sport to bet on as punters can see where they are earning points or losing points. The popularity of the contact sport makes it accessible to many sports betting enthusiasts as chances are their favourite online sportsbooks will provide judo as a live betting option.

Exclusive Matches

Judo is a uniquely executed sport which offers exclusive events around the world. Annually there are matches which spectators eagerly anticipate as, unlike other sports, these have been put together over the space of time. Punters watch their favourite Olympian sportsmen take part in these events and place substantial wagers on them.

Groundwork

The sport takes place from the moment the opponents hit the floor. From here on outwards, it’s a fast paced action game. The grappling techniques need to be executed from the moment to the match begins.

Intriguing Strategies

Unlike any other sport, some regard Judo as having the most intriguing strategies. The ability to hit the floor at any given time, the fast floor work of grappling and the defence strategies used are unlike anything most sports fans new to Judo have ever witnessed.

Although there are a number of moves to understand and learn before punters are able to place an informed bet, there are a number of sites which give detailed information regarding famed Judo sportsmen. This information is easily obtained and allows new sports bettors the opportunity to place quickly acquired strategic wagers on anticipated matches. Once online punters get a feel for the betting strategies, thereafter it’s simply about getting to understand the game, the opponents and the moves. Sports betting is about to become a whole lot more interesting for those looking to expand their wagering options in the sporting realm.

https://judoinside.com/news/3401/The_Ha ... _cancelled
The IJF have pulled back the license for the Grand Prix in The Hague due to expected financial losses for both contracted editions in 2019 and 2020. A severe loss for the Dutch Judo Association where in 2017 the city council of The Hague announced the top event in the World Tour for a period of four years. The Grand Prix was scheduled from 15-17 November.

“It’s sad to conclude that the financial challenge is simply too big. The costs per edition are approximately 950,000 euro and those are not covered in full. The Grand Prix doesn’t fit in the subsidy policy of the Ministry of Sports” said Dutch Judo Association President Felix Thieme.

“ Our judoka are among the absolute world top in a highly regarded Olympic sport that belongs to the Dutch focus sports. Moreover, the Grand Prix is a fully-fledged part of the Olympic qualification for Tokyo 2020. All the ingredients are there for a top event in the Netherlands, but we couldn’t get the finances for another edition.”

For 2019 the Grand Prix of Montreal was already added to the agenda. Also the Grand Prix in Tel Aviv had the inaugural edition this year. In total there are now nine Grand Prix events, one less then 2019 as also Cancun doesn’t have a Grand Prix anymore.

Previously the Grand Slam of Brasilia was added to the World Tour in 2019 as well, so in number of events it’s still in balance.
Manege frei!

https://judoinside.com/news/3650/Why_Ju ... ne_Betting
The world of online sports betting is evolving and laws are working in favour of bookmakers having become legal in more countries and states over the past few years. With this in mind, we have seen a number of online sports betting sites appear and while football and horse racing ranks amongst the most popular sports to bet on, we are seeing a new diversified market of bettors and this could potentially target the Judo market.

Renowned online sports betting sites are adopting Judo as an option and here is why we predict the sport to become the next biggest sport to bet on in the online gambling industry.

About the Sport

Judo seems the ideal sport to wager on. Its intense, you get full view of the body contact sport and the sportsmen and women are talented and can be easily gauged to see who will win if pitted against the other. Despite Judo being classed as a combat sport, it differs from others also classed under combat. At the Olympic Games the level is tight and unpredictable things happen, but it will give more options to bet on.

The History

The history of the sport only adds to the appeal of wagering on it. Judo is based upon the values of Jigoro Kano. The athletes show great honour, perseverance, respect and self-control which only adds to the value as an Olympic Sport and the importance on the Olympic calendar.

The Rules

Judo has its own unique set of rules which makes the sport more conservative and stricter than other in the same class but still develops and changed direction to stay independent and different from other martial arts. The men and women partaking in a match need to adhere to these rules which, if ignored, can deliver hansokumake. Judo is will become a popular sport in the betting industry and this is why it is becoming so big with massive online presence by the IJF in social media and many websites reporting about the stars in judo.

The Types of Judo Bets

While Judo may not be available on al sports betting sites, the big matches are played on notorious sites. These are the kinds of bets you can expect to find should you wish to place your own bets.

Bet on the Match – This is the most common form of betting. You will place bets on how you think the match will go down.

Outright Winner – These bets will require bettors to choose who they think will take the match. If you have a great knowledge about the rules and you know both the favourite and the underdog, this is the kind of bet you want to make as it has been tailored for professional bettors being difficult to predict.

Bet on the Top 3 – As the name suggests, this bet requires bettors to predict which athletes will rank at the top.

In JudoInside you will find a betting tab at each athlete to see their statistics when it comes to head2heads and their year to year performance.

Und man könnte auch noch wetten auf:

* Ob ein Kampf durch Ippon oder Hansoku-Make beendet wird oder er über die Zeit geht, evt. mit Verlängerung
* Anzahl an Sekunden im Bodenkampf
* Die nächsten Regeländerungen

;-)

Nun: nachdenken :smoke
